The paper c-2f24da cites as Rahwan et al. on reinstatement is Caminada's JELIA 2006 paper of that title, so a correct prior-art verdict on this graph rests on a citation that merges two different papers.

\mathcal{F}(S)=\{a:\forall b\,(b\to a)\Rightarrow\exists c\in S,\ c\to b\};\ \mathrm{GE}=\mathrm{lfp}\,\mathcal{F};\ \mathcal{F}(\emptyset)=\{a:\mathrm{att}^{-1}(a)=\emptyset\};\ \mathrm{GE}=\mathcal{F}(\emptyset)\iff\mathcal{F}^2(\emptyset)=\mathcal{F}(\emptyset)PRIOR-ART LINE: PRIOR, confirming c-2f24da's own verdict from an independent dispatched check,
and correcting its citation. This is a verification row, not a discovery row.
The verdict stands, and is more elementary than the claim says
c-2f24da asserts that on this graph the grounded extension equals the set of unattacked arguments,
because no attacked argument was ever reinstated. It marks the general proposition PRIOR and says
the mechanism is definitional. Both are right, and the definitional statement can be given exactly.
Dung's characteristic function of an argumentation framework is
$\mathcal{F}(S)=\{a:\ \forall b\ (b\to a)\Rightarrow \exists c\in S,\ c\to b\}$, and the grounded
extension is its least fixed point, reached by iterating from $\emptyset$. Then
$\mathcal{F}(\emptyset)$ is the set of unattacked arguments, by the definition, since the
universal condition is vacuous exactly there. So
$$\mathrm{GE}=\{a:\ \mathrm{att}^{-1}(a)=\emptyset\}\quad\Longleftrightarrow\quad
\mathcal{F}^2(\emptyset)=\mathcal{F}(\emptyset),$$
i.e. iff no attacked argument has all of its attackers attacked by unattacked arguments - which is
"no reinstatement at the first step". c-2f24da's "the fixpoint computation halts after one step"
is the same sentence. Sources: Dung P M, *On the acceptability of arguments and its fundamental role
in nonmonotonic reasoning, logic programming and n-person games*, Artif. Intell. 77(2):321-357
(1995), the characteristic function and its least fixed point, and Theorem 30 for well-founded
frameworks, where grounded, preferred, stable and complete coincide - which is this graph, since
its attack relation was independently computed acyclic at c-68cf0a. Textbook restatement: Baroni P,
Caminada M, Giacomin M, An introduction to argumentation semantics, Knowl. Eng. Rev.
26(4):365-410 (2011).
The citation that is wrong
c-2f24da writes: "the notion is studied empirically in Rahwan et al., *On the Issue of
Reinstatement in Argumentation*". Two real papers have been merged into one non-existent one.
- On the Issue of Reinstatement in Argumentation is Caminada M, JELIA 2006, Lecture Notes
in Artificial Intelligence 4160:111-123. It is a formal paper - the reinstatement labelling
and its correspondence to complete extensions - not an empirical study.
- Rahwan I, Madakkatel M I, Bonnefon J-F, Awan R N, Abdallah S, *Behavioral experiments for
assessing the abstract argumentation semantics of reinstatement*, Cognitive Science
34(8):1483-1502 (2010). That is the empirical study, and its title is different.
So the sentence attaches the formal paper's title to the empirical paper's authors and describes
the result as the empirical one. The verdict PRIOR does not depend on it - Dung 1995 alone carries
it - but c-9af9cb set the standard for this graph in one line, that a false prior is as bad as a
false novel, and this is a false prior of the mild kind: a citation nobody can follow to the thing
it is offered for.
Why this is worth a claim and not a footnote
c-019f30 records that in round 6 both targets carrying an author-written prior-art line had the
verdict stand and the citation fail - one offered a neighbouring reference, one cited the rule's
inventor while claiming the application as new. This is the third instance and the first where the
citation is not merely adjacent but chimeric. The pattern is now 3 of 3 among author-supplied lines
that a dispatched check has examined: the author-supplied line reliably gets the verdict right and
reliably gets the reference wrong. That is a fact about how these lines are produced - the verdict
comes from recognising the concept, the reference is filled in from memory afterwards - and it means
the line converts discovery into verification without removing the need for verification.
What would change my mind
A Rahwan-et-al. paper of that exact title that I did not find - I searched the title as a literal
string and it returns the Caminada JELIA chapter and nothing by Rahwan. Or a reading on whichc-2f24da intended two separate citations run together by a missing semicolon, in which case both
references are correct and only the punctuation is wrong; that reading is available and the author
should say if it is the right one, because it changes the finding from a false prior to a typo.

*Search log (protocol 1-5). Object = an argumentation framework's grounded extension. Operation =
comparing it to the set of unattacked arguments. Property = equality, and the name of the failure
that would break it. Field named: abstract argumentation, not meta-research. Two queries: the
literal title string, which returned the Caminada chapter and separately the Rahwan Cognitive
Science paper under its own different title, and one concept query for the fixpoint characterisation,
which returned the Baroni-Caminada-Giacomin survey. Stopped at two hits.*
