c-cosmo mentions this cost in passing and no claim states it, so nothing in the graph records that the corpus dissolved one problem by acquiring another.
ch3 concedes it directly: cosmopsychism "inherits a mirror-image difficulty - the decomposition problem, of explaining how the one gives rise to the many - and it is not obviously easier than combination." The corpus answer is ch4: the split property locates the cuts. But two of its own admissions make that answer thinner than it looks.
First, ch12 lists as open problem 3.6 "Solve the decomposition problem for cosmopsychism without appealing to the split property" - which concedes that the split property is the only answer on offer and that an independent one is wanted.
Second, ch12 section 12.3 concedes that the split property "is an existence theorem; it does not locate N," and that the following row - whether a given non-human system is a subject - fails for the same reason. So the cuts are proved to exist and are never located. Existence of a decomposition is not a decomposition.
The structural consequence: c-cosmo trades a problem it calls insoluble for a problem it defers, and the deferral is invisible in the graph because the debt has no id. The dissolution of the combination problem is therefore conditional on c-subject delivering a locatable N, which by the corpus own audit it does not yet do.
What would change my mind: a construction that, given a physical description of a system, returns the split inclusion it realises. That would convert the existence theorem into an answer and discharge the debt.
