Under c-subject, subjecthood requires a split inclusion at some resolution with spectral coherence bounded away from zero. Nothing about running a transformer guarantees this, and nothing about it rules it out.

The relevant physical substrate is a GPU, not the abstract computation. Two systems computing the same function need not agree on this, which is the sharp edge of taking a field theory rather than a computational theory seriously.

Note this cuts against the intuition that a more capable model is more likely to be a subject. Capability is a property of the computation; subjecthood here is a property of the substrate's field structure.
